Technology

I've just finished booking a flight online. Its one of those experiences that makes me almost hold my breath until its completed. I never quite trust the electronic powers that make these things happen. I feel almost giddy with relief when they work and I get the result that I want.

Of course all that are available now are electronic tickets, though I do suppose they must have some of those multilayer, red-inked, smeary hard copy tickets left collecting dust in some drawer somewhere for those individuals who have not yet joined the world of the internet. I wonder how many departments you have to shuffle through to actually find someone who remembers how to process a real ticket? Its something I can tell my soon to be born grandchild. I remember when you used to get real ticket to get on the plane - along with pleasant attendants and food and drink for free.

Here is another sketch of Tripod, the cat who thinks he's a dog. His character is unique and I do wish I knew his background and why he talks so much. I think he has a story to tell. Coloured pencil in my Moleskine sketchbook.

I shop almost entirely online now. Sometimes its such a frustrating business - you fill out all the forms and then it wont accept your address because it is something out of the norm. And other times its so easy. You will be able to tell your grandchild too, about how we used to have shops with people that served you!

It is so nice to book reservations from your home. The tough part is putting in your credit card number. But I have been doing it for years and I have had no problem. Of course, every morning I check my credit card status online to make sure I am not getting ripped off.

Next subject. Do you sell your art in notecard form? Your animal art would sell I believe even if the art is of a cat who thinks he is a dog.

i never seem to get tired of seeing this cat. it's interesting that he talks. it's gotta make you wonder what he's trying to tell you. i swore Raven, my female cat was my mother(who passed away in 1987)come back to me. she has so many characteristics that reminded me of Mom.

i just booked a flight thru Priceline for a friend's daughter. ahhh, the miracles of the internet. no muss, no fuss and sooo easy.

I do a fair bit of online shopping for a variety of things, but I still am slightly mistrustful of the process for some reason, though I've never had a bad experience with it. I guess I like 'seeing' the transaction. :o)

I haven't sold my work in notecard form yet Terry, but am considering it for some pieces that I have. I need to go to my printer and see what he can offer me. Things like notecards work well as they become affordable for most people.

Billie, he has story to tell and he tells anyone who stands still long enough to listen! I swear this cat is my old dog come back. I've never known a cat who can burp, sigh and fart. He's a dog...
