Doodling

Study for cat's face

I can never resist doodling eyes while waiting for inspiration to hit. This expanded a little past the eyes, but still has the therapeutic effect of small strokes making an image arise out of the paper.

That's a doodle? Wow! You must have an impressive little pad of notepaper by your phone! :-)

Did this come from your head or a reference? It's interesting to find out what your "comfort" subjects are and what you turn to waiting for inspiration.

I love drawing eyes pencil :)

LOL Rose. This was in a magazine while I waited for someone, nothing comes out of my head except circles and squares usually. I need an image in front of me to draw.

stop!!!!

I like it just like that :)

When I went to the Rodin museum in Paris, I really liked the unfinished works - smooth flesh and soft hair emerging from rough blocks of stone. This is like that.

Vivien, I agree with you, often less is more in drawings. The unfinished product leaves more to the imagination.

Thanks Sherrie, I'm glad you like it.
