Three down, one to go

Self portrait
9 x 12 coloured pencil

I've completed the self portrait for the forum challenge and that finishes the trio of portraits that I was working on more or less simultaneously. I just have one more on my easel now and hope to do some work on that watercolour tonight.

I have a couple of small table and travel box easels that are perfect to put pieces on while I consider them for a few days after I think I've finished.

I'm still doing a little work on the studio pet mouse and think he may well have a friend soon...

Jeanette...the self-portrait is great! Looks just like the sort of lady who would draw a mouse on her wall. :D

Chuckling... Rose, I think drawing on the wall is my form of rebellion leftover from childhood!

Your portraits are fantastic. I am so jealous of that talent. :-)
And...the mouse....so clever. I wouldn't have thought of that. ;/

that portrait is really very good - fresh and natural

but I love the mouse on the wall :>)

You're very kind Peggy. Thank you. The mouse was purely an afterthought, but he is cute.

Thanks Vivien. I really enjoy drawing portraits. I need to find a little friend for the mouse. Perhaps another mouse, perhaps a bird.

Stunning work, Jeannette. Thanks for sharing the processes!

I chanced across this site and thought you might like it. Artists---or anyone---are invited to post their self-portraits here:

Jeanette, the portraits are wonderful! Your way of rendering skin is lovely.
