The Bounty Hunter complete

Painting the water and reflections in this second piece have been testing me, but after a late night last night and early start this morning, I was determined to finish it and then make a start on a new piece.

This is the companion piece for the previous The Capelin Catcher and here they are together on the wall of my studio in their resting phase while I consider any adjustments that are needed before the final seal of approval.  There may be more in this series as the summer progresses.

These are 12" x 24" in oil on stretched canvas.

  1. Very nice. Love the size of these paintings which lends itself to the girls vertical stance... very well done Jeanette.

  4. Thanks Nancy. They are a reasonable size. Large enough to make impact but small enough that they don't take me forever to complete either. I like rectangular canvasses lately, they seem to go well with these compositions too.

Hi Suz, thank you! I'm in a water zone lately and am enjoying it. :)

Jen, I like a series of paintings that are the same size. It gives them more connection I think don't you?

Not sure what will be up next, perhaps another water piece to add to them. But I didn't get more of these canvasses today so that may have to wait a few days, but I have my eye on some fish. :)

  5. having a fish to go with these might work, help to tie them together?
