I like switching back and forth with mediums as some images just call for one or the other sometimes.

And its a matter of keeping skills sharpened too in mediums. Glad you like the Landwash so far. Not too much more to go I hope. :)Jeanette Jobsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08935974758134419990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20414780.post-25812511153848861092011-02-28T12:22:51.833-03:302011-02-28T12:22:51.833-03:30I enjoy your blog because you seem comfortable wit...I enjoy your blog because you seem comfortable with so many mediums. The belief that one medium is more worthy than another is one of those elements that seems to have no rationale attached to it.

Oils, being something the masters used, therefore must be classic, is one of the old phrases trotted out regularly. Well the masters also used a variety of other mediums as well. The present day masters are also varied, but still the myths and dismissal of other mediums as less classic becomes a source of frustration. All we can do is keep on putting other mediums in front of the public and educate them.Jeanette Jobsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08935974758134419990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20414780.post-28597289913725702472011-02-27T22:55:30.562-03:302011-02-27T22:55:30.562-03:30This is coming along beautifully. Just had this conversation with someone: if watercolor is supposed to be so hard to learn and control, then why isn't it more valued and expensive than oil? Usually, if something is seen as more difficult, it commands a higher price. However, watercolor never commands as high a price as an oil of equivalent size (note size, not ability!) Oh well, maybe some day.debwardarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05225105239355671724noreply@blogger.com
