Tidbits for the muse
I haven't made a lot of progress on anything this week and my creativity has taken a nosedive too. I go in spurts of work then it defeats me or my shoulder complains. Last night I was just getting into something when the power went around 10:30 and stayed off til I gave up and went to bed.
I have so many ideas in my head and I jot down notes and thumbnail sketches, but lately its almost as if I have too many ideas and as a result nothing comes to fruition. But I will persevere, I'm sure its just a phase, as its been here before and will be here again. Creativity ebbs and wanes like the tide and we all know there's nothing we can do to change that.
While waiting for the muse to regroup her thoughts, I wander, looking for tidbits to tempt her. And I found some.

It doesn't seem to me that you are ever out of ideas to work with and you carry them all out very successfully, Jeanette. This is looking good!
I go through those spells too. Thanks for the links!
I think your muse just needs a breather, and probably a pay rise. She's certainly been earning her keep lately. ;)
Cannot imagine you ever being out of creative juice - sure it will be flowing again soon. Your shoulder is probably hampering you somewhat. Take the time to breathe and before you know it you will be back in full flow again.
You are always an inspiration. Just take it easy for a while.
Good suggestions for feeding the muse.
Mary, thank you, you're always so kind.
Sydney, I hope you find something interesting in the links.
Robyn, I'll see if I can coax the muse back into business later. :)
Anita, I find it so frustrating sometimes when I have all these ideas yet nothing comes out. But you're right, it will given a little time.
Thanks Peggy. Inspiration will find me in its own time.
I don't even have any wise word for you to lift your creative spirit Jeanette! All I can say is hang in there, eventually the wheel will turn. It always does. In the meantime, make good notes of those ideas and keep meandering around them. I hope the shoulder heals soon!
Ronell
Your portrait of Maddy is coming along very nicely! Best wishes for a speedy recovery and thanks for the great links.
Getting out of those ruts is hard for me too. Sometimes I wonder if the well is dry. Many times I'll try something new, change other things up in my process. I know it feels that way to you, but on the outside you always seem to have so much to offer us.
Keep trucking!
Thanks so much for mentioning A Day In The Arts! We appreciate it!
