Decisions

Lioness study
4 x 4 coloured pencil on mylar
copyright Jeanette Jobson

Over the last few days I've been trying to make a decision about which pieces I will put in an upcoming show on October 21st. I can put in four pieces, and feel that I should, as I want to get as much exposure as I can for my work and subject matter. But deciding just which ones is always the challenge. I have narrowed down my decision to a firm one for two of my pieces and am considering my options for the other two.

Creativity seems the easy part, decision making the more difficult.

Beautiful eye.

I posted more pictures of cacti on my blog.

Beautiful use of colors. There are so many different ones in this drawing.

Hi Jeanette,

You have rendered the eye beautifully! I was thinking about putting some pieces into this show, but my work has changed so completely, I'm not sure... possibly the Christmas show. I don't mind you putting my link on your site. I'd like to put yours on mine as well.

Oh, I'm not selling the earrings locally. I made these for myself. :)

Thanks Jeanne, they are fabulous photos of cacti on your blog.

Its fun to see how many colours I can put into a piece and still make it look like a recognizable object.

Thanks Gina. Yes, there will be another option for the December show if you don't want to put something in this one. You're linked on my blog now and wonderful if you do the same for me too. :)

You should start selling those earrings...

This lioness study is brilliant. I'm sure that whatever you pick, it will be the best of the best. I'm glad you are getting this exposure and hope it leads to many fruitful things.

I think the really difficult bit is getting them all in their frames and actually getting them to arrive at the exhibition before the deadline!
