The rodent wall

You know how your mother always told you not to draw on the wall?  Well, I've thrown out that premise and started a little group of creatures - my studio buddies - who keep me company while I draw and paint.

The mice were the first and have been there for awhile but tonight a new rodent joined them.  A young squirrel who is just poking his head out to see what's going on.  The details are a bit sketchy (pardon the pun) right now, but he will become more detailed soon and be joined by others as word gets out I'm sure.

What's on your studio wall?

Too cute. I can deal with them on this format. Great shot in the previous post Jeanette. I'm pressed for time these days and not doing much online. You seem to be producing non- stop.

Thanks Jo, it was time another addition was made. I think there may be more... :)

Jennifer, there's your next project! Fill a wall with woodland creatures. Just hope it doesn't freak out Skye.

Margaret, my time is in short bursts and I squeeze in as much as I can, when I can.

The barn is full of possible photos. Its all a matter of being in the right place at the right time of day.

hahaaaa! I popped over here because you always have something wonderful, and I just have the biggest smile on my face. This is fabulous, Jeanette. You've made my day. Fabulous!

She may well Jennifer! However, Tripod shows no interest unless they're the real thing.

Sue, I'm glad it made you smile. That's the reason I make these little creatures. I can look at them anytime I'm in the studio and they make me smile.

This post made me smile.....as I was always in deep trouble for painting and writing on my bedroom walls as a kid,,,my mom finally gave up and said ok,,,,it is your room,,well all was ok until I ran out of space and took my "artwork" out into the HALLWAY.....of course, if it would have been these little beauties I don´t think she would have minded so much :)
I just love your work!!! Thanks for the inspiration!

Cynnie, thanks for sharing your story. I think we've all had a little dabble in painting or drawing on walls. I just keep doing it! :)

Glad you're enjoying it.

Well, I'd repaint my walls if you'd come and paint these little guys all over!! So cute and inventive and breaking those rules we sometimes love to break :) Are they painted with acrylics?
