Mommy?

This little piece came as a result of me experimenting with a digital photo box that I received as a Christmas gift. At last, functioning lighting that allows me to set up still life pieces, light images that I need to photograph and it doesn't matter what time of day it is!  Bliss.  I also have another daylight lamp that helps light my work table in the studio.

These are two little ceramic decorations, one a tealight holder.  I hadn't given much consideration to placement, but the little green bird seems to be gazing at the chicken with that look that kids get who need to ask something and it always starts out with 'Mommy?'

This is 5 x 7 in acrylics.

A photo box - what a great idea! WE should be treated to several lovely still life pieces from you in the near future. Let us know how you like using the box.
The title for this piece is perfect!

No more excuses to take pictures, whatever the weather or time of day. It is a gift that will be very useful. The chicken is very fun with these little points of all colors.

My husband got one of these as a gift (from me) and uses it for set ups once in a while - he likes it. Will be looking for more still life setups now :) This one is very cute and fun.

It was time Christiane. My husband was probably sick of me moaning about lighting. :)

Exactly Lydie. No more excuses. The chicken is cute and was a gift from my daughter.

Its good to have decent lighting available for art Rhonda. Something whimsical now and then is fun too.

Thanks Cindy. It just struck me as a child/mother scenario, if not a bit warped. :) And yes, the lighting is a godsend.

The light box sounds like a good things to have. Like this painting for its quirkiness of subject and your comments.
