Little things

On February 24th, my eldest daughter had her first child, a boy.  I'm looking forward to meeting him for the first time in early April, but until then I have to be content with virtual visits and photographs.

This is the first sketch of my new grandson and I'm sure there will be many more to come.

Hi Jeanette,
Congratulations to you and the entire happy family.
What a cute little guy. You've captured him as only a proud new grandmother could...beautifully!
Sincerely,
Gary.

Congratulations to you, your daughter and son-in-law.

This is a beautiful painting of your grandson.

thanks Gary.

I have to admit I think he's rather special,but of course I'm biased. :)

Thank you Rose.

Its a challenge for me drawing a newborn or any small child usually as they're so round. I think he'll keep popping up from time to time.

Thank you Sue, they're proud as punch.

I may tackle a painting of him when I'm feeling brave.

Oooh, this post really pulls my heartstrings! My son, too, was born on Feb. 24. Your few words here and the precious drawing bring back that feeling that I had 26 years ago... I'm so happy for you and your daughter and the whole family!

How interesting that your son was born on the same date Katherine. We now have a spate of birthdays in the first three months of the year. There's nothing like a newborn to make everyone smile.

Thank you Sue, can't wait to see him in person.
