Cats and classes

Here is the start of the 4th cat.

Drawing black cats or any black animal is a challenge and getting an image of it either on scanner or camera is even more challenging.  Finally, the scanner cooperated and a reasonably accurate image is here.

I'm not sure if I'm proceeding or if this will be a do-over yet.  I'll give it some more time and work and see if it comes together more.

And a little link that I came across for a free watercolour workshop online.  Creative Techs is hosting a workshop by Molly Murrah

I'm loving the blues in this black cat. I have a white schnauzer that I need to do. Keep putting it off.

It looks great Jeanette. Even if you don't do any more with it, it works 'as is'

Oh, this is amazing! Keep going :) I'll check out the link to the workshop, too - you don't get too many things like this for free anymore!

I'm not a cat person but I do love the piece. Thanks for the link too.

oh, beautiful! You really captured this kitty's eyes too!
I paint lots of ravens and people always comment on the many shades of blues and purples in them.
I tell them white is the absence of color, black is all colors. I don't really quite believe that because I never see 'pure' white either!

I'm going to have a look around now and then pop over to your Etsy.

Jeanette - love your themed approaches, these cats are amazing (it's in the eyes!). Also, never got a chance to tell you how much I enjoyed your masa paper/batik work. So cool looking!! I admire your courage in putting this out there!
