Red Fish II
I have a never ending collection of prints of ocean perch, or red fish as they're often called in Newfoundland.
This one was printed onto a batiked piece of masa paper and measures 8.5 x 16". I love the mix of colour and almost textural effect of the fish and background. The washes of watercolour that I used over this gives a strong presence for this gem of the Atlantic.
As I need space and framing funds, you can find this guy for sale on the Original Works page of this blog. If its a Christmas gift, let me know when you pay and I'll include a free Christmas note card!

Love the rich textures, how they go through the fish, and yet the fish stands out. Very beautiful.
