Gyotaku glimpses

Here's a little video glimpse into some gyotaku and information on my upcoming workshop on March 19th.  Scripting is not my forte so forgive the hesitations as my brain fought with painting and talking at the same time.  Not always successfully!

I intend on producing a smoother piece as a workshop promotion so stay tuned.

Good video and interesting to see how carefully you're bringing more color and substance to the print. Did you know that DickBlick has fish molds for making gyotaku prints? At least, they used to have them...I'll have to check my latest catalog and see if they still carry them.

I hope to make a video about the whole process Rhonda. Just need time - and patience!

And yes, I do know DB has replica fish, but I get mine from another source.

I meant to say that the replicas are good, but never the same as a real fish with the variances you can get.

Thanks so much for the video. Sure wish I lived close enough to attend the workshop!
