Adding the details to a painting gives me the same feeling as curling up with a favourite book or sampling a food I love. There's a level of satisfaction in adding the final glazes and tiny details to a painting and seeing it move to a different level of dimension. The act of creating something that looks 2D from a flat, white piece of canvas provides me with amazement and interest all the way through.

Love the bubbles in the glass and the reflection and shadow - beautifully painted.
Hi Jeanette,
I concur completely! This small work is worthy of the word "amazing".
It took me back to those golden days of childhood, shooting marbles with my brother and a neighborhood friend or two.
I feel like I could pick it up off the canvas and walk right into..."The Twilight Zone".
Great job.
Sincerely,
Gary.
Thanks Rhonda. Detail work I adore doing, so marbles fit right in there.
Gary, funny how paintings evoke memories isn`t it. Childhood games of marbles were in my head while I painting this too.
i think its the shine in the shadow that really makes this piece. most people would have left that out, well done :)
Incredible piece. Makes me want to play a game :).
Stay inspired!
I am astounded by this! It puts mine to shame!
