Very intriguing Jeanette! I did a little apple sketching last night - but struggled to come up with a composition that I liked. This is very clever my friend. :D
I love the colours in this :D You can tell its an apple, but it is very abstract and simple. Works really well
I'm glad you like it Rose. It was a spur of the moment thing which often the best pieces come from. I find that if I think about things too much they won't work. I need to let them find me.Its so bright and warm isn't Jennifer? Perhaps a green version would be a good companion piece. I like the kind of abstract feel to it as well.
a green version would look really nice next to this on a wall. The colours would really play well off of each other
I love this! The push out of the picture plane and into the viewer's space reminds me of the Georgia O'Keeffe paintings I saw in the Lifetime movie last night. This is simple and yet has a jauntiness, a strength, an unexpected thrust forward one doesn't think of when thinking of the lowly little apple :)
Yum - an apple touched by light. Lovely, Jeanette.
I like this up close and personal look at an apple. It's recognizable but unexpected.
Thank you Rhonda. Apples when closely inspected, have a lot of complexities that we often overlook. The smell of apples fills the studio and acts as further inspiration for this Robyn.Close crops of subjects often make interesting paintings Stacy. It a mix of abstract and reality.
What a great pair of paintings and your right about the contrast. Just perfect. The greens you used are just green apple perfect, too.
Remarkable! Love all the color variations!
I really like the idea of zooming in like this
Wonderful vibrant colors, and I love the macro perspective here.
This is wonderful Jeanette I love the brush strokes!
